Family Majlis
The idea
A majlis where the family gathers every evening needs more than one strong source in the middle. The idea is to build light in layers that give the room depth and calm.
What the design includes
The concept starts from the ceiling plan: a concealed cove for calm ambient light, wall-grazing across the mashrabiya to reveal its texture, and 24° downlights only above the coffee tables. The layers come together in three scenes — welcome, evening and reading — each recalled at a single touch.
